Marietta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. The good! Best LGS this side of town! The bad- that’s not hard to do, because most LGS’s in this area are awful. My friends and I went to play a couple of games of Magic tonight, only to get told by several different people (one I know for sure was an employee, he wears glasses and is very nice!) that we were good to play at an empty table and just had to move before the event started at 6:30. We were then told to move, event started even though it was 6. Sure, can do I guess? Moved to the empty tables that were reserved for their DND adventures groups(employees said it was fine), as they never fully get filled up. Sign on table says 6 PM and my friends are sitting there at 6:05. ANOTHER person, who was not an employeeβ€”most likely a DM (sitting at another table on the OTHER side of the store), told us that he didn’t want us at those empty tables doing our thing, as they were reserved. Not only was he super stand offish, but he was incredibly rude. If he had approached us and asked us to leave when the (not present for reserved time) party had arrived, we would have happily done so. Unfortunately his shitty attitude killed our night of playing, and killed my desire to go back to GIG

Been a customer a GB for a number of years. The good: Solid selection of board games. Gaming tables offer a nice place for wargaming, with a few spaced dedicated to DnD/Board games. Food is decent, if a little pricey. Wargaming models/supplies are nice, but only when they are in stock. The bad: The kitchen clearly doesn’t have adequate ventilation. The place smells like burned grease as soon as they start making food. They desperately need a dedicated range hood to cook in that space. I’m honestly not sure how they pass health inspections. Wargaming stock tends to be very limited. Gaming tables, while nice, are crammed really closely together. This leads me to my last point. The ugly: The ventilation is already struggling from the kitchen, so it does nothing to combat the odor of the other attendees. If you know, you know. Makes me embarrassed to be part of the hobby sometimes.

Have only been once so far, but had a great time at commander league with compete strangers who became buddies after a few games. They taught me how to play my first games of commander. Shout out to S. L. & C. for being so welcoming! Will be back!

Amazing Store, the best staff. The most diverse and friendly environment for all people. They have a great war-hammer and table top setup. The trading card side has full length six foot tables with seating. Plenty of friendly players for Commander and draft on Friday nights. They host pre-releases and many tournaments for Magic the gathering. Other notable card games, One piece, and Gundam! Tournaments for those as well.
